DIU ambushes two Russian special forces groups on Zaporizhzhia front

As reported by Ukrinform, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine said this in a Facebook post. “Thanks to successful intelligence-gathering efforts, including information obtained from within the enemy’s ranks, as well as the use of technical intelligence-gathering capabilities, Ukrainian defense intelligence officers identified the composition of the enemy groups and their movement routes,” the statement said. Based on the intelligence gathered, fighters from the Timur Special Unit set up an ambush to intercept the Russian special forces personnel. After detecting the enemy, the intelligence officers launched a strike and conducted a sweep of the area. One Russian special forces serviceman was captured.
