US President Donald Trump said Sunday that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to halt strikes on each other's energy infrastructure. "Effective immediately, there is an ENERGY CEASEFIRE in the War between Russia and Ukraine," the president wrote on his Truth Social network. Trump continued: "Both parties have agreed," before urging restraint from both Kyiv and Moscow: "Do not break it!" There was no immediate confirmation from Moscow, but Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the news site Axios within minutes of Trump's post that the ceasefire was "news for me." "The ceasefire announcement was news for me. But if Russians agree to an energy ceasefire, Ukraine will agree.
