Denmark inflation hits one-year high on rising energy costs - Yahoo Finance

Denmark's annual inflation rate rose to a one-year high in September, driven by higher energy prices, according to figures released by Statistics Denmark on Monday. Consumer prices rose 2.2% year-on-year, up from 2% in August and the highest rate since September 2025. Inflation measured under the European Union's harmonized index edged up to 2.1% from 2% the previous month. However, core inflation, which excludes energy and unprocessed food prices, eased to 1.9% from 2.2% in August. Transport costs were the biggest driver of inflation, rising 7.7% due to higher energy prices. Meanwhile, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages fell 2.1%. Services inflation slowed to 3.3% from 3.6%, while goods price inflation accelerated to 0.9% from 0.2%.
