According to Ukrinform, the Romanian Ministry of National Defence reported this on its website . The ministry said its radar surveillance system had detected a new aerial target moving near Romania’s border. The National Military Command Center notified the General Inspectorate to implement alert measures for the population in the eastern and northern parts of Tulcea County, and a RO-Alert message was issued at 10:19. Two Romanian Air Force F-16 fighter jets were also scrambled from the 86th Air Base in Borcea. According to the statement, the detected target briefly entered Romanian national airspace east of the city of Sulina, over the Black Sea, before entering Ukrainian airspace, where it was neutralized by Ukraine’s air defense system.
