Canada lost 68,000 jobs in September, and unemployment rose to 6.5%. That followed another employment decline in August, giving borrowers more evidence that the economy is slowing. Canadian bond yields edged lower again. The 10-year government bond yield slipped to about 3.9% this week. That offers some relief after the recent pressure on borrowing costs, but it doesn't mean every lender has lowered its mortgage offers.
