Northrop Grumman (NOC [https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/NOC]) received a $21 million U.S. Army contract to develop a more mobile and protected version of its Integrated Battle Command System, or IBCS, part of the military's effort to modernize air and missile defense operations. The company will deliver two manufacturing prototypes by June 2027. The new configuration, called the Integrated Collaborative Environment, will replace the system's existing tent-based command workspace with an expandable van. The design provides greater protection for personnel and equipment while allowing military units to establish and relocate command operations more quickly.
