U.S. liquefied natural gas exporter Venture Global has signed agreements with GE Vernova and Baker Hughes to support a major expansion of its independent natural gas-fired power generation network, positioning the company to capitalize on growing electricity demand from artificial intelligence data centers. The agreements cover up to 16 power generation units, each with a capacity of 720 megawatts (MW), along with associated electrical infrastructure. Together, the units could provide approximately 11.5 gigawatts (GW) of additional generating capacity, supporting Venture Global's ambitions to develop up to 10 GW of AI computing capacity by the end of 2034. The expansion builds on Venture Global's existing portfolio of approximately 4.
