SSU charges five more Russian soldiers over killing of Ukrainian POWs

The SSU recalled that Russian troops shot unarmed Ukrainian defenders on the premises of a local aggregate plant at the time. Earlier, based on SSU evidence, one of the perpetrators, Russian national Sergey Tuzhilov (call sign “Altay”), was sentenced to life imprisonment. He personally killed one Ukrainian serviceman with an automatic weapon and helped organize the executions of two others. The crimes of five more of his accomplices have now been documented. All of them served in the 82nd Motor Rifle Regiment of Russia’s 69th Motor Rifle Division. They are: Privates Ruslan Kabanov (call sign “Koba”) and Vladislav Bortsov (call sign “Vudu”), who provided cover for the perpetrators during the execution of two prisoners.
