Poland scrambles military aircraft for second time in response to Russian attack on Ukraine

The Polish Government Security Center (RCB) reported this on the social media platform X , according to Ukrinform. “Attention! Russian air attack on Ukrainian territory. The situation is being monitored. Polish aircraft are operating in Polish airspace,” the message reads. The alert was sent to recipients in the Lublin Voivodeship, which borders Ukraine. As previously reported, an alert was declared in Poland’s border regions for the second time in 24 hours , prompting the deployment of military aircraft. Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, following the conclusion of the European Council summit in Brussels, noted that Russia could resort to escalation even before Christmas , in particular by intensifying sabotage and provocations in Poland.
