BAE Systems plc BAESY recently unveiled two next-generation defense technologies, the Multi-Domain Artillery Cannon System ("MDACS") and High Power Microwave ("HPM"), at the Association of the United States Army ("AUSA") 2026 exhibition. These systems are designed to strengthen the U.S. Army's counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) and counter-missile capabilities. The newly introduced technologies combine precision-guided kinetic weapons with directed-energy capabilities to counter increasingly sophisticated aerial threats, including coordinated drone swarms. These systems are designed to provide sustained, cost-efficient protection for critical installations and military forces.
