The Office for National Statistics has released its October 2026 labour market overview for the UK, according to the Office for National Statistics. The release brings together estimates covering employment, unemployment , economic inactivity, average weekly earnings, vacancies and other labour market related statistics. The overview is accompanied by separate publications on average weekly earnings in Great Britain, which cover estimates of growth in earnings for employees before tax and other deductions from pay, and on vacancies and jobs in the UK, which cover estimates of the number of vacancies and jobs. A further release provides estimates of employment, unemployment and economic inactivity for the UK.
