RTX (RTX): How Much of its Cash Recovery Comes From Selling Receivables?

RTX Corporation (NYSE:RTX) is benefiting from stronger aircraft maintenance and defense demand, but its cash recovery also reflects faster collection through receivable sales. First-half operating cash flow rose from approximately $3.64 billion to $5.40 billion. Increased factoring contributed $1.5 billion, or about 41% of that improvement. The investment question is how much cash the growing business can sustain without progressively greater reliance on these arrangements. RTX Corporation (NYSE:RTX) trades at approximately 25x forward earnings versus 34x trailing earnings. Analysts expect approximately 15% growth in calendar-2026 non-GAAP adjusted EPS. Accounting differences also matter: second-quarter reported EPS was $1.
