Shares of e-commerce and gaming company Sea (NYSE:SE) fell 9.1% in the afternoon session after the company said it is preparing to launch a new cloud business and considering an initial public offering for its digital financial services unit, Monee. According to Morningstar, CEO Forrest Li told staff in an internal memo that Sea plans to offer an AI-first enterprise platform called Sea Cloud, built on infrastructure that has powered Shopee, Garena, and Monee for about a decade.
