Oracle (ORCL) is diversifying its AI cloud infrastructure, signing deals to bring chips from Google (GOOG, GOOGL), Cerebras (CBRS), and SambaNova (SANS.PVT) onto its networks as it looks to diversify beyond Nvidia's processors. The move marks the first time Google is selling its Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) for use within a third-party data center rather than simply renting capacity to companies. Cerebras' massive chips will provide AI inference capacity and AI agent processing power, while SambaNova's SN50 processor will handle agentic inference. Oracle says its decision to bring on Google, Cerebras, and SambaNova's processors provides its customers with the right infrastructure for their particular needs.
