Where does Arsenal’s Fleetwood humiliation place in English cup shocks?

Arsenal suffered a stunning League Cup fourth-round defeat at fourth-tier Fleetwood Town on Tuesday. The Premier League champions lost 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in one of the greatest shocks in the history of English football. The debate over what is the biggest upset in cup history is never-ending, but here are five other epic cup upsets to rival Arsenal’s humiliation. Alan Smith put the Gunners in front, but Mickey Thomas’s free kick levelled matters with 10 minutes remaining, and Steve Watkin astonishingly claimed a late winner.
