Grundy County had an unemployment rate of 3.9 percent in September of this year compared to 3.6 percent in September of 2025. The labor force in Grundy County consists of 28,533 and 27,128 people are employed. According to IDES, around 1,400 individuals are unemployed in Grundy County. Kendall County’s unemployment rate was down in September compared with a year ago. The rate was 3.6% this September, compared with 4.2% in September 2025.
