Two State Emergency Service bomb disposal experts killed during demining operation in Sumy region

In the Sumy region, our colleagues from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine’s “Sumy” Mobile Rapid Response Rescue Center were killed during a humanitarian demining operation—Civil Protection Service Major and Head of the Mechanized Demining Group Oleksandr Kovalchuk, and Civil Protection Service Master Sergeant and Demining Operator Denys Sydorych,” Danik said. According to him, a Russian munition detonated while the explosive ordnance disposal team was working in the Shostka district.
