According to investigators, around midnight, the judge, driving a Lexus ES350 while intoxicated, struck an on-duty serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine at a checkpoint. The victim died at the scene. According to an expert examination, the driver began braking immediately before the collision rather than in advance, as required by the road signs.
