British adventurer Karl Bushby, 57, arrived back his hometown in England on Monday after crossing four continents on foot. He was met by a cheering crowd of some 500 people in the northeastern city of Hull at the end of his 50,000 km (31,000 mile) journey, which began in the far south of South America in 1998. "I didn't do this alone. There was a big team, the biggest team, Earth. That's what it took to get me back," Bushby told the crowd. On his trip, he obeyed two rules: to avoid all forms of motorized transport to advance; and not to return until he had finished what he had set out to do.
