Anastasiia Shevchenko, deputy spokesperson for the South Group of Forces, told an Ukrinform correspondent. “In the Huliaipole, Orikhiv and Oleksandrivka sectors, the enemy lost 279 servicemen and 60 pieces of weapons and military equipment after triggering mine and explosive barriers. A significant proportion of the targets hit were motorcycles and quad bikes, which the occupiers use to speed up the movement of personnel and conduct maneuvers,” she said. According to Shevchenko, the mine and explosive barriers installed by the engineering units of the South Group of Forces became one of the effective factors in containing Russian forces in these three sectors throughout October.
