Pontotoc County's unemployment rate set at 3.2% in August - Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal

In August 2026 Pontotoc County’s labor force was set at 11,882; employed was estimated at 11,499; unemployed was set at 383 and the unemployment rate was set at 3.2%, which ranked 27th in Mississippi. Comparatively, the revised July 2026 estimates showed Pontotoc County’s labor force at 12,117; the employed estimate was 11,649; the unemployed was set at 468; and the July unemployment rate was set at 3.9%.
