Prime Minister Andrej Babiš made the statement at a briefing following a government meeting devoted to discussing the Czech Armed Forces Development Concept through 2040 and the Long-Term Defence Outlook through 2045, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. "Our army needs to increase the number of service members by at least 3,000 people a year… Air defence and protection against drones are also top priorities," the Prime Minister said. He reported that, as of October 16 this year, the army had already recruited 3,696 people. Babiš once again criticized the previous government, accusing it of paying too little attention to the army and recruitment.
