Zhovkva: Ukraine's EU membership must be integral part of peace agreements

Deputy Head of the President's Office Ihor Zhovkva made this statement during an online address at the opening of the 5th EU Accession Exchange Forum, according to an Ukrinform correspondent. Zhovkva said that Ukraine's European integration was one of the strongest and most fundamental elements of its security guarantees. "We cannot talk about genuine peace in Ukraine without Ukraine's membership in the European Union being enshrined," he said. He recalled that work on achieving peace in Ukraine would continue in Brussels on November 4, with post-war economic prosperity for Ukraine and security guarantees among the issues to be discussed.
