Read below for the top headlines from across Germany on Friday, November 6: Four alleged ringleaders of the banned far-right "Kingdom of Germany" (KRD) are expected to appear before the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court this morning. The group is part of a conspiracy theorist movement that rejects the legitimacy of the modern German republic. Authorities banned the KRD in May 2025 after monitoring its activities for more than a decade. Since then, the four defendants, including the group's so-called "King" Peter Fitzek, have been held in pre-trial detention. They have been charged with membership in a criminal organization and other offenses, including document forgery and tax evasion amounting to millions of euros.
