Trump teases ‘beautiful’ deal covering ‘all of Europe’ after meeting Putin’s envoy

U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his promise of a “big, beautiful agreement” on Ukraine after holding a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, on Thursday. Dmitriev, who heads the U.S.-sanctioned Russian sovereign wealth fund, was attending a White House event hosted by First Lady Melania Trump where she delivered remarks about the temporary ceasefire in Oleshky that she helped negotiate. Although Russian and Ukrainian officials were present at the event, Trump told reporters Thursday evening he had only met Dmitriev. “I can’t tell you what I discussed. But I’m just telling you, it’s going to be a big agreement,” he said.
