Azerbaijan and Ukraine have formalised a major expansion of their economic and energy cooperation, concluding the 14th meeting of their Joint Intergovernmental Commission in the western Ukrainian city of Uzhhorod. The bilateral talks mark the first time the commission has convened on Ukrainian territory since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. Co-chaired by Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal, the delegations signed a formal Protocol and adopted a comprehensive Action Plan for 2026-2027.
