Tanzanian opposition leader jailed in ‘politically motivated’ case Tanzanian opposition leader Tundu Lissu has been sentenced to four years in jail after being arrested on treason charges in April. The court instead convicted him of inciting unrest in a trial that has been widely condemned as politically motivated.
